The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for general accounting for the TAC. Reconciling Balance Sheet Accounts along with financial statement analysis is a large portion of the responsibilities for the position. Must meet deadlines timely and with accuracy.
Essential Job Functions
Record General Ledger Activity as assigned on Accounting Close Schedule.
Review and analyze field location Profit / Loss Statements.
Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts as assigned on Accounting Close Schedule.
Research and resolve inquiries from Aveanna Directors, Regional V.P. s, and Division V.P.
Perform other projects / duties to meet department requirements.
Evaluates data, reports, feedback, observations and other information in determining priorities.
Uses prior knowledge and industry specific, historical experiences in resolving problems.
Conducts all assignments as a professional and role model with a sense of urgency.
Uses professional communication and conflict resolution techniques as required.
References and reflects upon the Company mission, values, and strategic imperatives in completing and/or assigning all work.
B.S. Degree in Accounting.
Up to two years of general accounting experience.
Must have beginners level knowledge of Excel, including the ability to give examples and explain basic functionality.
Must be able to exercise good judgment with some degree of independence, possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to read and comprehend financial data and perform various mathematical and financial calculations.
Relevant health care industry experience preferred.
Workday experience a plus.
Must be able to adhere to confidentiality standards and professional boundaries at all times
