This position reports to the Head of Finance Business Operations (FBO) which in turn reports to the AXA Equitable Holdings Chief Financial Officer (CFO). FBO is a strategic process advisory and results delivery team which supports the overall AXA US Finance organization. Its mission is to optimize the end to end Finance operating model through continuous review of process performance and design and implementation of critical strategic improvement initiatives with a focus on automation, controls, efficiency and enhancing stakeholder experience. The Senior Director is responsible for developing, prioritizing and managing the program portfolio and investment funding for strategic Finance initiatives and continuous measuring/monitoring Finance operating performance to identify process improvement areas and resolve root cause issues. This role is also responsible for managing the strategic third-party vendor relationships supporting the Finance Operating Model, with focus on onshore/offshore co-location strategy and optimization of value and costs of services provided.. Key responsibilities include the following:. Partner with Finance Senior Leadership to understand key priorities of the organization and critical strategic initiatives which require FBO design and execution support and investment funding.. Assess the impact of key regulatory and internal management on overall Finance service delivery model.. Develop and manage a robust Key Performance Indicator (KPI) framework with ongoing reporting and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of the Finance service delivery model and review key findings and operating model improvement recommendations with senior leadership.. Prioritize the portfolio of investment funding requests and monitor selected projects to ensure effective execution and benefits realization.. Develop business cases and present recommendations to Corporate Governance to secure investment funding for strategic Finance initiatives.. Partner with FBO Process Design experts and enterprise teams such as IT and the Data Analytics Office to recommend and implement strategic operating model solutions to Finance leadership.. Manage project management services for Finance and ensure consistent and effective execution of strategic initiatives.. Manage strategic third-party vendor relationships supporting the Finance Operating Model, including the onshore/offshore co-location strategy and identify/implement best practices to optimize the value and costs of services provided.. Develop and monitor area expense budget, with focus on maintaining a scalable cost structure as the business grows.. Qualifications. QUALIFICATIONS. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance required. 8+ years of financial accounting/reporting experience, 3+ of which were in a supervisory position. Solid business acumen with advanced competence in financial accounting and reporting processes, data flows and controls. Strong portfolio/project management and organization skills. Strong influencing / negotiation skills. Strong interpersonal / relationship management skills with ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels within Finance and across the organization. Excellent analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to present insights to executive stakeholders. Excellent leadership skills with ability to attract, develop and retain top talent and create a team culture which drives for continuous improvement and service excellence. Demonstrated innovation and problem-solving skillsets with a focus on root cause analysis and targeted solutions development and implementation \\. Ability to set and communicate goals, establish metrics, measure accomplishments, give appropriate feedback and hold parties accountable. Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
