The employer is a late stage analytics company.
  • Build a new Financial Operations team and structure to help us bring innovative and meaningful solutions to our partners that align with broader company goals across the quote-to-cash function in partnership with the Corporate Controller and Head of FP&A
  • Own all aspects of day-to-day technical revenue accounting and order to cash operations including deal review, customer credit assessment, month end close, indirect taxes, billing and collections. Collaborate proactively on contract negotiations with sales operations and legal teams to ensure revenue transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP, identifying issues and providing appropriate practical and scalable alternatives as necessary. Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule. Act as a key stakeholder in the implementation of ASC 606
  • Lead the month-end revenue close by validating accruals, reviewing account reconciliations, journal entries, reserve models, and conducting fluctuation analyses. Summarize revenue reporting including performing revenue analytics and metrics to understand key drivers
  • Provide detailed revenue analysis to support FP&A, senior management and other key stakeholders. Leverage usage data and segment analytics to deliver insights and proactively drive business decisions and deliver accurate revenue forecasting in partnership with FP&A

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or Business, or a related field required
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience, achieving progressively increased areas of responsibility, as evidenced through promotions in revenue organizations. Excellent knowledge of ASC 605 and ASC 606. Experience in both public and private companies preferred
  • Experience with high growth and high volume of transactions and data is a must. Problem solving and analysis skills, ability to solve complex business problems. Able to develop or oversee advanced analysis and derive actionable insights
  • Solid knowledge of revenue recognition in US GAAP; experience in ASC 606 implementation preferred. Excellent technical accounting skills with previous experience in managing external audit. Design revenue recognition training to sales and other support functions on an ongoing basis
  • Excellent people skills and understanding of organizational challenge. Ability to communicate and collaborate across the organization and with all levels
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements including the ability to assess, develop and implement internal controls over the quote-to-cash process, a significant plus
  • Experience with the implementation of a billing engine software a strong plus
  • Experience in a high growth, rapidly changing work environment required. Must be able to work with a strong sense of urgency both as an individual contributor and as a team leader. Demonstrated revenue operations process improvement experience
  • Proven ability to manage large amount of data at scale. Highly detail oriented with exceptionally strong judgement, impeccable integrity and positive attitude
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and vlookup formulas required. SQL experience, including prior experience using Tableau preferred
