The Financial ServicesDepartment is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst. Thisposition will serve as the Finance liaison to the LaboratoryResearch Divisions and the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center(AFLCMC) for New Programs, Transitioning Programs, fundingobligations and de-obligations, and other funding contract actionson the Air Force prime contract. Ability to provideaccurate funding status with associated details is critical to besuccessful in thisposition.
PositionSummary:The SeniorFinancial Analyst serves as the primary Financial ServicesDepartment point of contract for the prime contract funding relatedmattersPrimary interfacewith the Laboratory Research Divisions and the Air Force contractadministrators on the day to day funding actions required toexecute on the prime contractInterface withLaboratory staff including other members of Financial Services,Technology and Contracts Office, Program Support Office, and theDivision business community to plan, organize, and prioritizefunding related activitiesIdentify, elevate,and communicate funding and new program related issues to theappropriate personnel and groups to ensure swiftresolutionPrepare weekly reports of fundingtrends and status for management reviewProvidemonthly financial input for the Lab Operations Report and ContractData Requirements List (CDRL) as required by the primecontractResource for ad-hoc inquires andGovernment taskersCommunicate key dates andchanges in process to the Lab community to ensure there are nodelays in the funding obligationprocessWorking with the Air Force, ensure thesponsors User Guide is kept current with process updates andimprovements.
REQUIREMENTS:BachelorsDegree in a business related field isrequiredApplicable 5-8 years of experience isrequiredKnowledge of federal fundingregulations is requiredPrior experience withSAP is preferredDAWIA (Defense AcquisitionWorkforce Improvement Act) Certification or equivalent forBusiness-Financial Management ispreferredExperience in a DoD research,acquisition and contractingenvironment ispreferredExcellent interpersonal andcommunication skills are required to deal across multiple levels ofthe organization and with GovernmentcounterpartsCompetence with business/financial systems and computer-based financial managementtools.Experience withMicrosoft Office with proficiency in advanced Excelfunctions.Ability to obtain and maintain agovernment securityclearance
