Senior FinancialAnalyst:

The Financial ServicesDepartment is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst. Thisposition will serve as the Finance liaison to the LaboratoryResearch Divisions and the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center(AFLCMC) for New Programs, Transitioning Programs, fundingobligations and de-obligations, and other funding contract actionson the Air Force prime contract. Ability to provideaccurate funding status with associated details is critical to besuccessful in thisposition.


  • The SeniorFinancial Analyst serves as the primary Financial ServicesDepartment point of contract for the prime contract funding relatedmatters
  • Primary interfacewith the Laboratory Research Divisions and the Air Force contractadministrators on the day to day funding actions required toexecute on the prime contract
  • Interface withLaboratory staff including other members of Financial Services,Technology and Contracts Office, Program Support Office, and theDivision business community to plan, organize, and prioritizefunding related activities
  • Identify, elevate,and communicate funding and new program related issues to theappropriate personnel and groups to ensure swiftresolution
  • Prepare weekly reports of fundingtrends and status for management review
  • Providemonthly financial input for the Lab Operations Report and ContractData Requirements List (CDRL) as required by the primecontract
  • Resource for ad-hoc inquires andGovernment taskers
  • Communicate key dates andchanges in process to the Lab community to ensure there are nodelays in the funding obligationprocess
  • Working with the Air Force, ensure thesponsors User Guide is kept current with process updates andimprovements.

  • BachelorsDegree in a business related field isrequired
  • Applicable 5-8 years of experience isrequired
  • Knowledge of federal fundingregulations is required
  • Prior experience withSAP is preferred
  • DAWIA (Defense AcquisitionWorkforce Improvement Act) Certification or equivalent forBusiness-Financial Management ispreferred
  • Experience in a DoD research,acquisition and contractingenvironment ispreferred
  • Excellent interpersonal andcommunication skills are required to deal across multiple levels ofthe organization and with Governmentcounterparts
  • Competence with business/financial systems and computer-based financial managementtools.
  • Experience withMicrosoft Office with proficiency in advanced Excelfunctions.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain agovernment securityclearance
