Our client, a respected real estate development company, is looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented Staff Accountant. This Staff Accountant role is a career-building, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. You will succeed in this position if you have the ability to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. This role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. We're looking for people who have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. How you will make an impact: ? Completes monthly and quarterly reporting packages and prepares reporting packages for distribution within established deadlines. ? Reconciles all bank accounts associated with each property in assigned portfolio on a monthly basis. ? Responsible for cash management of each property on a daily basis. ? Prepares and enters all journal entries necessary to maintain balance sheet and income statement accounts to accurately reflect financial activity and balances ? The ideal Staff Accountant candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Other requirements for the Staff Accountant position include and are not limited to: ? Real Estate, Property Management or Yardi experience is a major plus. ? 2++ years of progressively responsible accounting experience ? Proven knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), job costing and cost control measures. ? Ability to clearly and consistently get information across in a timely and effective manner both verbally and in writing via multiple methods (i.e., presentations to groups both large and small). ? Must be detail-oriented, flexible, and able to effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment. Must display initiative and independent thinking. ? Experience in process improvement to increase efficiencies and optimize results ?
