Your environment
At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Global Markets division (MARK) of SG Corporate and Investment Banking. MARK offers a cross-asset approach along all its offerings : Research, Investment & Risk Management Solutions, Execution and Prime Services to asset managers, pension funds, companies, private banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, family offices, sovereign funds and distributors worldwide.


Your role

As part of SGCIBs profitable growth strategy, the Commodity Markets department division, established in all major financial centers around the world (Paris, London, New York, and Hong Kong) is looking for a Chief Operating Officer assistant.

The candidate will work on different transverse subjects that require both coordination and centralization of information and preparation of topics.

The position is based in New York and the candidate will learn the Commodities business along with business management basics and how to work in a fast paced environment.

Provide day-to-day support to theCOOand business line.

Assist the COO with short and long term projects that are specific to Commodities business and transversal topics across the bank.

Assist COO with creating management presentations for meetings.

Be the point person for Sales and COO team with onboarding request for new clients and working closely with Onboarding and KYC team on all related topics.

Assist COO with creating and maintaining trader mandates and sales handbooks.

Maintain and update the overall dashboard structure for the Commodities business (i.e. PNL Performance, Client Performance, Expense Dashboard, Trader Dashboards etc.).

Be the liaison between Market Data team and FO on access requests and periodic reviews of FO and client market data accesses.

Coordinate with desk heads on monthly expense reports.

Provide FO with new access rights to applications, systems, folders, market data etc.

Assist in answering FO ad-hoc requests (i.e. PNL, KYC, IT issues etc.). Engage in credit risk monitoring topics.
The VIE assignment in a nutshell This VIE inNew York Cityis to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last18months. The VIE is a specific contract, under Business Frances eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. Your profile Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering school or University, majoring in Finance.

A previous experience in Investment Banking would be appreciated.

You are fluent in English.

You are proficient in Office application
